Fax Through The Internet

Whether you simply do not have a fax machine, or you are tired of leaving your desk just to fax a document, worry not.

Nowadays all sorts of tasks are done through the internet. We can send emails, instantly message a co-worker or friend halfway across the planet, or even have video conference calls with potential customers. And yes, you've guessed it; you can send a fax via the internet now as well.

RapidFax is one of the better known online fax services out there, but no matter which provider you choose to go with, the process with all of them is relatively the same.

The first step is to sign up with your provider and provide them with the information they ask you for. You will be provided with a fax number that will be your way of receiving incoming faxes.

If you have chosen for example eFax as your fax service provider, you will be able to download the "eFax Messenger", a small application which lets you send faxes from your desktop. On the menu bar, go to "File", "Create New Fax", enter the recipient's information, attach the file you are looking to send, and you are ready to send. Click on "Send Fax" and your fax will be on its way to its destination immediately.

One thing to look out for is to make sure that you are connected to a high speed internet connection; otherwise you might experience some problems sending your fax. Like mentioned before, many online services are proven to be reliable and efficient. Small businesses and even larger-scale corporations are turning to online faxing solutions.
